Pouring the garage slab
For three weeks it rained. The formwork stood waiting, and every morning I opened the forecast and closed it again. On Saturday the sky finally dried out.
The pump truck arrived. One last walk along the rebar with a tape measure.
At work I’ve watched dozens of platform migrations. The ones that go well have the same thing in common: preparation, and knowing when to wait. A foundation turns out to be the same.
Done by two. Now it cures, and we wait again.
